Piper

Piper loves training with her foster mama. She is recall trained on a tone, knows how to use potty bells to ask to go outside and knows "sit", "crate", "off", "break" and 'up". She would really thrive if she had a job or extra mental stimulation from activities like scent training or trick training.
Piper is 99% potty trained and doing really well when she has structure and routine. Since she is still a puppy, she will need gentle reminders to stay focused when excited. She sleeps 8 hours through the night in her crate after a busy day, and everyone benefits if she has a 1-2-hour afternoon nap!
Piper has a larger-than-life personality with plenty of sassy, girly spunk, and she keeps us laughing daily. We don't think her sassiness would be appreciated by an older female dog, hence why we are searching for a canine brother for her. She has really gravitated to the other dogs here and is definitely following their lead so will need that guidance to continue with an older dog.
Piper will thrive in a home ready to provide outlets for her energy, continue her training, and enjoy all the joy and personality she brings with her.
Requirements for adopting Piper:
✅You must own a sociable neutered male dog who is at least 2 years old and can act as a mentor and playmate for the puppy
✅You must have a secure fenced yard (but we can make exceptions on fences for properties with sizeable acreage)
✅Someone in the family needs to be home most of the day to take Piper out every few hours and to invest in training and exercising Piper
✅You must have previous experience of owning a GSP or similar high-energy, high-drive breeds (eg pointers, vizslas, weimaraners)
✅Your family must have an outdoor lifestyle with lots of opportunities for your dog to run off leash once they have had recall training. Piper is not a dog who is going to be fulfilled by walking on leash every day
