Most important things for my new owner to know about me:

1. I LOVE outdoor adventures.

2. I would like my person and me to be best buddies, spending lots of time together.

3. I need to be in a family with no children, other dogs or pets.

4. I don’t like being alone for very long.

5. I’m affectionate and love snuggle time. 

6. I’m smart and am very responsive to training.

My name is Banjo and I just turned 7 yrs. Old.  My dream is to be someone’s life companion and enjoy the outdoors. My mom says I am incredibly loyal and intelligent. I will make my person the center of my life and would love to have my person feel that way about me, too. I thrive as an “only dog” and find kids to be overwhelming, so would do best in a home without other pets or children. I stay close when off-leash and am an eager adventure buddy to go exploring. I have had formal training and experience accompanying my mom on hunting trips, but I haven’t had a chance to go in a while. But she says I have the smarts and motivation to easily refresh those skills and learn even more. Just as much as I look forward to the excitement of adventure, I also enjoy cozying up on the couch afterwards and I’m a really good snuggler! In addition to hunting, I love swimming, riding in a car, off-leash hiking, running and exploring and hanging out in a hammock. I will be your most enthusiastic welcome home each day, but I do prefer that you don’t stay away for very long. I am a very healthy dog, with only the occasional cracked toenail requiring a trip to the vet. And, of course, I am up to date on wellness checks and vaccines.
