Temp foster home needed ASAP for sweet senior GSP

We have an unusual need for a temporary foster mom, dad or couple. We took Quincy into our rescue just a few weeks ago. He is 10 – 12 years old and came to us in pretty rough shape. He either escaped from his home or was cast out. What is very clear is that before finding his own way to what became a temporary foster home in Kansas, he had clearly been badly neglected. He was pathetically emaciated and could hardly stand. We learned of him and brought him to Colorado where he has been with another temporary foster who has taken wonderful care of him. He has been under a doctor’s care, as well, and is showing some real improvement. We need another temporary foster home for Quincy because his current foster mom has some health issues which don’t allow her to continue caring for him. What he needs is someone who is available and is home much of the day to help him continue building strength and trust and become even more comfortable living in a home. As soon as he gains strength to climb stairs, he has a long term foster waiting for him. Quincy is a gentle dog, very sweet. He is learning how to go for walks and the fun of playing with toys and being with other dogs. Please let us know if you are able to help foster Quincy for a short time so he can continue gaining strength and discovering what it means to be a healthy, happy GSP. Contact Judy at 720-373-7274.

Can’t foster but still want to help Quincy? Donations are a huge help in his care  and for his medications (donate here) or you can send a care package! Items Quincy needs and loves include: non-slip rugs (something like these), black Kong balls and food (Nature’s Domain Turkey Meal & Sweet Potato Formula for Dogs from Costco). Care packages can be sent to:
